Irish Show Jumping team manager Rodrigo Pessoa has named the Irish squad for Rotterdam Nations Cup

Irish Show Jumping team manager Rodrigo Pessoa has named the Irish Show Jumping squad, sponsored by Devenish and The Underwriting Exchange, for the fifth round of the FEI Super League Nations Cup which takes place at Rotterdam, The Netherlands, on Friday June 23rd. Division 1 of the FEI Nations Cup series reached the halfway stage after the last round at St Gallen in Switzerland and the battle for league points on the road to qualification for the final in Barcelona now moves up a gear with just four rounds remaining. Ireland lie in seventh place on 155 points, however Pessoa’s team have only jumped at two of their points-scoring legs so far. The Irish have an opportunity to add to their points tally at all of the remaining four fixtures, including the upcoming showdown in Rotterdam. Speaking about the announcement Ireland’s High Performance Senior Showjumping Manager Rodrigo Pessoa said; “We are putting forward a very good team in Rotterdam and have high expectations. We are halfway through the Super League season, all events are now points scoring for Ireland and this is the first of four that we are really concentrating on.” The Irish squad for Rotterdam, in alphabetical order, is as follows: Bertram Allen riding Hector Van d’Abdijhoeve – Owned by Noel Delahunty Connaught Bloodstock Shane Breen riding Golden Hawk – Owned by P.
