Lately Michael Whitaker sold Calcourt Falklund and Velini. Now the British show jumper has invested in a new 6-year-old star. Valmy de la Lande (Mylord Carthago x Starter) is to join Whitaker's stables. Whitaker was amazed by the horse after trying it and is reported to straight away have said that he had never ridden such a horse in his life. Valmy de la Lande has done some great things on the French youngster circuit under Axelle Lagoubie - the two ended 5th in the French 6-year-old Championships this year, where the horse caught the eye of many scouts. In the end, it was Whitaker who secured himself this talented horse - giving him the best opportunities to develop to top level.
