The countdown has started to the start of the World Championship in Herning, Denmark. With less than a month to go, it has now also been announced who the potential Belgian envoys for the jumping riders are.
Chef d'Equipe of the Belgian jumping team, Peter Weinberg will make his choice from the following combinations:
- Niels Bruynseels - Delux van T&L
- Pieter Clemens - Hulde G
- Jerome Guery - Quel Homme de Hus
- Nicola Philippaerts - Katanga vh Dingeshof
- Olivier Philippaerts - H&M Miro & Le Blue Diamond van 't Ruytershof
- Gilles Thomas - Luna van het Dennehof
- Jos Verlooy - Igor
- Wilm Vermeir - IQ van het Steentje
- Gregory Wathelet - Nevados S
Who we do not find in this list is Belgian stronghold Pieter Devos. Devos is currently third in the LGCT Ranking, and last year won a medal with the Belgian team at both the Olympic Games and the European Championship.
