The Hanoverian mare St.Pr.St. Starlight has been named “Springstute des Jahres 2024,” a prestigious title that highlights her exceptional contribution to breeding. This award, established by the Hanoverian Verband, recognizes mare lines that excel in sport and breeding with their offspring.
Starlight (by Salito x Calypso II), born in 2006 to Helmut Habermann in Hänigsen, has an impressive breeding story. Her offspring, including three approved stallions and several sport horses, confirm her exceptional qualities. Her son Qualito I (by Quaid) won the Hanoverian Freispring Championship as a three-year-old and produced more than 300 promising offspring.
With her sporting offspring, such as IB Qualita and Qualibro, Starlight has proven to have impact not only in breeding, but also in show jumping worldwide. Her offspring are successful at high levels up to 1.55 meters.
With this recognition, the Hanoverian Verband emphasizes the importance of strong mare lines as the foundation of success in equestrian sports. Starlight, with her outstanding inheritance power, thus writes a special chapter in Hanoverian breeding.
