Bertram Allen takes WEF 9 by storm, winning his second 5* Class

After yesterdays win on Edison de Hus in the 1.45m Longines Ranking class of week nine of the Winter Equestrian Festival, Bertram Allen has done it again. Bringing out Pacino Amiro (v. Pacino) into the ring of the 5* Class, the Irishman left his compatriot Darragh Kenny behind and took a second, consecutive win.

Allen has already over two years the reins in hands of Pacino Amiro (v. Pacino). The eleven year old gelding was one of the only three combinations to finish clear in the first round. Allen continued in this pace and didn't leave room for mistakes. The second and only other clear combination was compatriot Darragh Kenny. With two seconds difference he was left in second place with Chic Chic (v. Comme Il Faut).

The American Schuyler Riley kept Robin de Ponthual (v. Elf d'Or) clear in the first round but touched two poles in the jump-off. They filled in the third place. Richard Vogel rode to four on Cepano Baloubet (v. Chaman) followed by Ashlee Bond on Donatello 141 (v. Diarado).
