Charlotte has been competing since 2012 and counts compatriot Steffen Krehl as her favourite athlete.

When she’s not competing or hacking, Charlotte likes listening to playlists on Deezer, watching Germany’s Next Top Model and swimming. She can’t wait to meet the horse she’ll be competing with in Aachen and meet the other teenage participants from 30 countries around the world.

“I think I can get along with new horses quickly,” she says. “It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet people from other countries who all have the same interest.

“My dream in equestrian sport is to always have outstanding horses to ride.”

Charlotte and the other young athletes can look forward to a busy few days of competition in Aachen as well as enjoying an education programme focused on their current and future sporting careers. Based on the Youth Olympic Games programme, it will emphasise the significance and relevance of the Olympic values.
