Darragh Kenny and Serendepety fly to victory in the $38,700 Jet Run Devon Welcome Stake

For the first time in his career, Darragh Kenny entered the Dixon Oval and emerged victorious with Serendepety (Stolzenberg x Escudo I) in the CSI4* 1.45m $38,700 Jet Run Devon Welcome Stake under the lights at the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair.

Kenny, riding for Ireland, piloted the nine-year-old Oakland Ventures, LLC’s entry to a clear round, crossing the timers in a speedy 55.52 seconds to top the star-studded field of 44 international horse and rider combination at the 2024 Devon Horse Show and Country Fair.

Second went to last year’s winner, Dorothy Matz’s Cashew CR (Cassini II x Quinar) and Alex Matz, who finished up in 57.16 seconds, while Jordan Coyle finished out the top three with Falkirk Farm, LLC’s For Gold (For Fashion x Heraldik).

Outside the stage, Hallie Grimes placed fourth aboard Margriet de Mariposa (Nabab de Rêve x Flora de Mariposa), while Jimmy Torano completed the top five aboard his own Kochio Z (Kannan x Datura Z).
