Irish teammate Conor Swail would do his best to catch Lennon, but would settle for second place with a clear round and a time of 56.74s.
Meadows on the Green welcomed the U25 riders as the first competition to start the 2019 'Pan American' CSI5*, presented by Rolex. Twenty-eight horse/rider combinations took on the one round track designed by FEI Course Designer Alan Wade (IRL) all looking for a trip to the winner's circle.
Only five riders were able to produce clear rounds in the U25 Friends of the Meadows Cup, and the fastest time belonged to Natalie Dean of the United States. Aboard the 2010 Westphalian mare, Ceitasi, the duo had a quick clear round with a time of 61.23s to secure their first Spruce Meadows FEI victory.
