The organization of the Longines Global Champions Tour in Hamburg, EnGarde Marketing, has decided not to sign the contract with Jan Tops his GCT Tour. 2022 was the last edition of the LGCT in Hamburg. Next year the Hamburger Derby will take place under its own identity.
To the German media St Georg, Volker Wulff, the event director states the Derby has always been the spotlight of the competition. "Hamburg has its own identity that already exists for over 100 years. We don't want to adapt nor change that identity, that is why we decided not to continue our partnership with the GCT."
