Hans Melzer has confirmed that he will remain the chef d'équipe of the German eventing team until 2021. It seemed like Peter Thomson was going to take over after the Olympics but Melzer confirmed that was not the case.
By remaining the chef d'équipe of the German eventers, he will be their coach for 20 (!!) years. He was supposed to retire after the Olympics but with them being postponed, he wanted to stay any longer.
