Hessel Hoekstra's Icoon VDL debuts with Cian O'Connor with new name ...

Last month the news was revealed, but today it is confirmed. Hessel Hoekstra (NED) his  Icoon VDL (VDL Bubalu) has been sold to Irish showjumping rider, Cian O'Connor. The new pair made their debut in Vejer de la Fronteira.

About a month ago the news was revealed. Meanwhile O'Connor confirms the transfer. "I'm delighted with my new mount. We will get to know each other a bit more in Spain and slowly build up the level."

O'Connor has however changed Icoon VDL name to Rock of Cashel.

With Hoekstra in the saddle Icoon VDL jumped up to a CSIO5* level. The pair won the CSI3* Grand Prix in Eindhoven and placed third in the CSIO5* Grand Prix of Falsterbo.
