Holly Smith on top in big class Vilamoura

  • by Equnews Editorial
  • 24-10-2020

The main class of the day has just been jumped in Vilamoura. It was a 1m40 class that was ridden with jump-off. 108 riders entered the show ground for this class and only five of them could keep the zero on the score board. A jump-off with eight combinations therefore had to decide about the winner.

That winner became the British Holly Smith. She cleared the course in the saddle of Fruselli (f. Zambesi) and finished in 36,84 seconds. Victor Bettendorf and Catapulte de la Roque (f. Quaprice Boimargot Quincy) followed on second place. They left the wood untouched and finished in 36,96 seconds. George Whitaker and Special Warrior (f. Warrior) followed on third place after a clear round in 40,50 seconds.

Guido Klatte Jr (Coolio 23) and Marcel Marschall (Crystal 17) followed on fourth and fifth place.
