Ireland's Shane Breen tops the Hickstead Derby Trials

Today the CSI4* competition riders faced the 1.60m Derby Trials in Hickstead. Aboard his Golden Hawk it was Ireland's Shane Breen who speeded to victory in this class.

Only two riders qualified for the Jump-Off in which only Shane Breen managed to produce a clear round aboard his 14-year-old son of Vigo d'Arsouilles, Golden Hawk. After a retirement in the Jump-Off, local show jumping rider, Graham Gillespie followed as runner-up in the saddle of Andretti (Acodetto). 

For his own crowd, Robert Whitaker completed the stage withh Major Delacour (Ksar Sitte) and was followed by Holly Smith who guided her Hearts Destiny (Heart Throb) with only one jumping fault to the fourth place.

Breen also secured the fifth place with his Can Ya Makan (Canturo).
