Pieter Devos and Toupie de la Roque conquer Basel World Cup!

The 1.60m World cUp competition in Basel was a hard task to complete. Only two combinations managed to produce a double clear. From the start, Belgium's Pieter Devos set the tone, and eventually won the +100.000 euro first prize, with his trusted Mom's Toupie de la Roque

Eight combinations qualified for the Jump-Off in this Western-European leg of the FEI Longines World Cup. Pieter Devos and Mom's Toupie de la Roque (Kannan, breeder: EURL Top Stallions Company) were the first to set a clear round, finishing in 36.94 seconds.

As one of the last to go only Janika Sprunger (SUI) managed to finish clear as well. Sprunger and her 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood-mare, Orelie (Emerald) finished in over three seconds difference with Devos, eventually settling for the runner-up position. Third place was for Max Kühner and EIC Cooley Jump The Q (Pacino).

Last at the start, Germany's Hans-Dieter Dreher, eventually settled for the fourth place with Elysium (VDL Zirocco Blue). The top five was completed by Denmark's Andreas Schou and Jérôme Guery's former 11-year-old Napoli vh Nederassenthof (President).
