Princeton Show Jumping will host a National Level Young Jumper Championship for 5, 6 and 7/8 year olds on Sept. 17 - 20, 2014. Offering $50,000 in prize money, the competition will be held in three rounds over four days at Princeton Show Jumping's new 110 acre, state of the art show facility located six miles from the center of Princeton. The $50,000 Princeton Young Jumper Championships will mimic, in both format and excitement, the FEI Young Horse Championship held each fall in Lanaken, Belgium. World-renowned FEI 4 star Course Designer Alan Wade of Ireland will design the courses for this important event. The three-day championships will award substantial prize money to the top ten in each age group. All horses that complete the course in Rounds 1 & 2 are eligible for The Final in their respective division. The Overall Champion, Reserve Champion and Top Ten will be determined as follows: All horses tied with the fewest TOTAL faults over Rounds 1, 2, & 3 will participate in a jump off for the Championship. Placing for horses not involved in the fourth round will be decided first on the basis of fewest total faults, then on fewest faults in Round 3, then in Round 2. then Round 1. Further ties will remain equal. Acceptance of entries will be made on the basis of entry postmark. Entries for the Princeton Young Jumper Championships must be received in the Princeton Show Jumping Office no later than Friday, September 5, 2014. Nomination & Stall Fees are due with entries and are non-refundable after the closing date: September 5, 2014 at 6:00 PM. Special Conditions of Competition: Eligibility: Foreign Bred horses must present a National Horse Passport; USA TB horses must present Jockey Club Papers, USA non-TB horses must provide a letter from the foaling Veterinarian attesting to the horse's date of birth. USEF Recording Certificates will NOT be accepted for proof of a horse's age. FEI schooling rules and USEF drug rules apply. All PYJC horses must check in with the stable manager by: 12pm Tuesday September 16, 2014. No horses may leave the show grounds until the end of the Championships unless withdrawn. Horses must have their entry number displayed when out of their assigned stall. PYJC may only school in designated schooling areas. PYJC horses may NOT compete in any other class at the show week 1 unless withdrawn from the Championship. Exception: Horses may show on Sunday after the conclusion of the Championships.
