Blackjack Farms is marking its 20 Year Anniversary with a very special clinic this year conducted by George Morris. Always a special stop for Morris, this year's clinic will offer a little something extra as owners Miller and Frances Gorrie and trainer J. Michael Halbleib welcome the esteemed clinician. The clinic will be held at the 900-acre facility located on the foothills of Black Jack Ridge and the Appalachian Mountains from September 26-28, 2014. On September 27, the Gorries will host a special Open House barbeque for all of their guests.
"This is an amazing event at a fabulous venue," stated Halbleib. "Our program is geared towards opening the doors for students that love the equestrian sport. George is the leader in clinics all around the world. We try to lay the groundwork and foundation for the riders in our area to have unlimited access to the tools they are going to need for whatever their goals might be. We are very excited to be hosting George."
After retiring as Chef d'Equipe of the United States Show Jumping Team, Morris has set his sights on developing the future of the sport by conducting clinics around the world. Focusing on helping riders develop correct form and function, Morris has often been referred to as the founding father of hunt seat equitation. Second to none, his teachings, technique and style are revered around the world. Over the course of his career, Morris has been highly successful as a rider, coach, clinician, author and judge.
