Overlooking the stunning International Arena at this weekend’s Spruce Meadows Masters, Elizabeth “Beezie” Madden held an onsite briefing with the press to talk about joining the Cavalor team. The official partnership between Madden and Cavalor was recently inked during the Longines Global Champions Tour Valkenswaard in the Netherlands August 16, 2015. The decision to partner with the high-performance equine nutrition company was strategically done with Madden’s extensive competition and travel schedule in mind. As she begins her run at the Spruce Meadows Masters Series this weekend, Team Madden is fuelling her horses with Cavalor. “We have seen the success of horses, and more importantly their condition, as a result of being fed with Cavalor products,” Madden explained through a written statement. “The global availability of Cavalor was a key factor in ensuring the consistent care of our horses while traveling,” she adds. Madden’s horses include Cortes C, Coral Reef Via Volo, and recent HITS Saugerties CP $1 Million Grand Prix winner, Simon. Since spring 2015, Madden’s competition horses are fed an array of feed & supplements from the Cavalor range, including Perfomix, Pianissimo, FIBERFORCE, Digest, and Vitaflor 365. The impact of high quality feed on a horse at the Grand Prix level or even as a pleasure ride has paramount results. The hustle of training and travel disrupts any horse, but for a sensitive horse like Cortes C, his performance depends on stability. As the primary caregiver, Madden’s head groom Clark Shipley knows Cortes C completely. “Cortes has always had a sensitive digestive system and palate,” said Shipley, “but once he was on Cavalor Digest and Vitaflor 365, he was able to recover a healthy appetite and gain nutritional stability.” Madden is an Individual Olympic Bronze Medalist and was part of two gold medal US Olympic teams (2004 and 2008). She has 16 wins in Nations Cup competition and 8 World Cup Qualifier wins. Today’s briefing was attended by both her husband, John Madden, director of John Madden Sales, and Cavalor North America CEO Michael Pollard. “Having Beezie on Team Cavalor is thrilling as she is the epitome of high-performance in equestrian sport,” said Pollard. “We are pleased to further her competition goals with high-performance nutritional support, and excited to watch her ride here at Spruce Meadows.” “We respect what Cavalor has returned to the sport by supporting athletes and events,” added John Madden. “Partnering with a company that is dedicated to the nutritional needs of high-performance horses was a natural fit for Beezie and her horses.”
