The World’s leading US rider and Pan American Gold medalist, Kent Farrington, has entered into a partnership with Rolex in one of the most exciting sponsorship announcements of the season. The Swiss-based timing expert has been involved with equestrian sport since 1957, and has selected Farrington as the latest high-performance athlete to be supported by Rolex. Farrington joins an elite roster of exceptional individuals who excel in their chosen sport, including fellow show jumping riders, Eric Lamaze, Rodrigo Pessoa and Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, Steve Guerdat, Kevin Staut as well as golfer Phil Mickelson and the world’s longest standing number one tennis player, Roger Federer. Rolex has also been associated with Canada’s Spruce Meadows “Masters” Tournament for more than 30 years, an event where Farrington has excelled, claiming numerous championship and Grand Prix titles. In 2012, Farrington launched himself into center stage after winning the ATB Financial Cup aboard Uceko. That same year, Farrington would win the Scotiabank Cup, the Duncan Ross Cup, the Cargill Cup, the Pepsi Challenge and the Encana Cup at the CSI5* Masters event. In 2013, Farrington won the ATB Financial Cup for the third season in a row, this time with Robyn Parsky’s Blue Angel. Another successful season for Farrington saw the now World’s No.1 US ranked rider win the G&C Farm Cup and the Akita Drilling Cup at the CSI5* Masters event with Blue Angel. This season has seen Farrington dominate once again with an incredible team of horses, winning the Progress Energy Cup with Uceko before taking the CSI5* ATCO Power Queen Elizabeth Cup with Voyeur. Farrington’s results at Spruce Meadows alone are impressive but across the board, Kent has rose to the World’s Top 10. He has done so by winning such top honors at the Rolex event in Geneva, last year winning the Credit Suisse Grand Prix with Willow as well as the second World Cup Qualifier with Voyeur in addition to multiple wins at the the Rolex affiliated event in Florida; the Winter Equestrian Festival. After so many incredibly competitive years for Farrington at some of Rolex’s most prestigious events, Kent will now join the exclusive team of riders partnered with the prestigious watch brand, Rolex.
