It was an exciting afternoon in Las Vegas. Two rounds were on the programme for the Longines FEI World Cup finals in Las Vegas. The all-time Favorite went home after having finished 3 out of the 4 rounds faultless. Olympic Champion, Steve Guerdat, and the 12 year old Albfuehren's Paille (by Kannan) Finished their last round with a total of two jumping faults. Good enough for bringing home the World Cup and a nice Longines watch. On top of that Guerdat brings home a 'sloppy' 172,500 Euro. France's leading lady, Pénélope Leprevost (Vagabond de la Pomme), did start her Final rounds with 67 points. She finished her final round with one jumping fault, riding to a second place. Irish 19-year old Bertram Allen and 11-year-old Molly Malone V (by Kannan) finished third. USA's Beezie Madden made the crowd go wild after an amazing final round. Aboard Simon she finished fourth. Belgium's Jos Verlooy was almost clear when suddenly the last fence went down. Eventually he and Domino made it to the fifth spot. click here for final standings.
