The Traders Point Charity Horse Show and County Fair is delightedto announce that their 37th annual horse show will benefit the Riley Hospital for Children of Indianapolis for the sixth year. This year’s event, which runs from Aug. 5-10, is jam packed with entertainment and a variety of classes with prize money, and above all, it is for a wonderful cause. The $75,000 Grand Prix of Indianapolis will finish off the six day show on Sunday, Aug. 10, in the grand prix field at 2 pm. Another highly lucrative class, the $35,000 Mr. & Mrs. Russell Fortune Jr. Memorial Grand Prix is Friday, Aug. 8. An array of jumper classics will occur throughout the week, including the $10,000 PNC Bank Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic, $5,000 NAL Low Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic, $2,500 NAL/WIHS Adult Jumper Classic II, and $2,500 NAL/WIHS Children’s Jumper Classic II. Hunters will also not leave empty handed as the $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, $5,000 Nutrena USHJA National Hunter Derby, $1,000 Junior Hunter Classic and $1,000 NAL/WIHS Children’s Hunter Classic highlight a full schedule of classes. In addition to offering top-notch hunter and jumper competition, the Traders Point Hunt Charity Horse Show gives attendees plenty of opportunities to kick back and relax. The Riley Children’s Foundation Kid’s Day and Country Fair and the Paws to Applause Dog Show will be fun-filled events for all. Kid’s Day will run on Aug. 9 and include Pony & Horse Rides, Face Painting, Bounce Houses, Radio Disney Performers, Pacer Van and even more fun for kids, as well as 40 vendors in the Country Fair. The dog show on Aug. 8 will feature classes such as best look alike, best dog trick, best dog in costume, and best conformation.
