After a Jump-Off with nine it was just not a two in a row for Simon Delestre and his Belgian Warmblood-mare, Olga van de Kruishoeve. In the exciting Jump-Off in the 1.50m CSI4* main class in Doha, Emanuele Gaudiano bested Delestre's time, claiming the win aboard the 12-year-old Conthargo-Blue (Conthargos, breeder: Paul Schockemöhle).
Gaudiano and his 12-year-old son by Conthargos were the only combination to set a clear finish in less than 37 seconds. With a minor difference, Simon Delestre and Olga van de Kruishoeve (El Torreo de Muze) followed as runner-up. The combination secured the main win on Thursday.
The stage was completed by Santiago Lambre and the 14-year-old, Zeusz (Cartogran). In a fourth place, Roberto Previtali and Esteban de Hus (Cornet Obolensky) followed, while Jamie Kermond and Isis (Bodubai) completed the top five.
Earlier Gaudiano also won the 1.45m Longines Ranking class aboard Crack Balou (Balou du Reventon). The pair was followed by Jennifer Hockstadter and Tinka's Hero Z (Tinka's Boy). Simon Delestre and Dexter Fontenis Z (Diarado) completed the stage.
