Hamburg Giants win the Global Champions League of Mexico

In Mexico, the second and decisive round of the Global Champions League just came to an end. The Hamburg Giants, who started the GCL season as the underdogs of the circuit, proved today after already fantastic rounds in Doha and Miami that they are formidable opponents once again. Hamburg Giants teammates Bart Bles and Jur Vrieling both managed to put down clear rounds in a sharp time and take home the win in the GCL of Mexico. 


The Hamburg Giants won the GCL of Mexico after four clear rounds over the two rounds. Bart Bles rode Kriskras DV (by Cooper van de Heffinck) and Jur Vrieling could count on the eleven-year-old Fiumicino van de Kalevallei (by Plot Blue). The team total came to 161.00 seconds and zero penalty points. 

St. Tropez Pirates consisting of Michael Pender and Daniel Deusser sprinted to second place. Pender and Hhs Calais (by Cavallier Royale) secured a clear round as did Deusser and his trusty Killer Queen VDM (by Eldorado Vd Zeshoek). The total came to zero penalties and 163.32 seconds. 

Cannes Stars put in Johnny Pals and Jens Baackmann today, and they brought their team to a third place. Pals could count on Charley (by Callido I) to put down a nice clear round. Jens Baackmann exchanged Caprice for Nomanee (by Non Stop) today and that resulted in a clear round. With a total of four penalty points and a time of 163.25 seconds, the Cannes Stars received the bronze in this GCL of Mexico. 

Individual ranking 

Mexican rider Patricio Pasquel rode for his home crowd to the first place in the individual ranking with Babel (by Billy dy Lys). Nina Mallevaey and Chacco Kid (by Chacco Blue) followed in second place. Omer Karaevli and Cheston de la Pomme d'Or Z (by Chippendale Z) completed the top three individual placings.
