Belgian show jumpers will be well represented during the GCT Finale in Riyadh later this year. After Abdel Said and Nicola Philippaerts, Belgian show jumping champion Gilles Thomas managed to win the 1.60m GCT Grand Prix in Shanghai. This victory immediately resulted in a leap forward for Thomas in the GCT ranking.
Eduardo Alvarez Aznar still leads with only five points difference from the Austrian, Max Kühner, who is not starting in Shanghai. Julien Anquetin (FRA) is currently third.
The Grand Prix winner of Miami, Michael Duffy (IRL), also managed to secure a podium position in Shanghai and is currently fourth. The provisional top five is completed by Andreas Schou (DEN).
