Marcus Ehning and Calanda outdo competition in 1.50m Snowflake Stakes of London International Horse Show

On second to last day in London, the riders didn't loose their focus. Six out of thirty horse and rider combinations were able to make their way into the jump-off. Marcus Ehning left all of them behind and jumped to victory on Calanda (v. Calido I).

The top five was within a few hundredths difference very close to each other. Jos Verlooy kept Varoune (v. Verdi TN) clear through both rounds and concluded his last with 34.01 on the clock. But at 33.10 seconds, one combination was faster. Marcus Ehning rode an amazingly fast round with Calanda (by Calido I). Matthew Sampson completed the podium with a time of 34.31 for Django Blue (by Chacco-Blue).

His compatriot Jodie Hall McAteer had to miss out on the podium by one hundredth short and stranded on four with Hardessa (by Berlin). The top five had Lars Kersten closing in the saddle of Hallilea (by VDL Zirocco Blue). The duo needed two hundredths more than their four predecessors. The final clear round came in the name of William Funnell and Equine America Billy Marmite.
