In an exhilarating display of skill and precision, the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for five-year-old horses concluded with a nail-biting final, where Orange de Baugy, ridden by Ireland's Niamh McEvoy, emerged as the champion. With flawless performances in both the first and second rounds, the pair secured victory with an unbeatable time of 36.15 seconds in the jump-off.
Orange de Baugy, a talented bay mare from the KWPN breed, demonstrated remarkable agility and control. Sired by Dominator Z, the mare is owned by GBBS International Ltd and bred by L.A. Geertzema.
In second place, Zuly, ridden by Italy’s Diego Pagano, delivered an equally impressive round. The pair completed the course in a steady 38.44 seconds, just over two seconds behind the leader. Zuly is a MASAF mare sired by Zirocco Blue VDL owned by Ilenia Baesso. Taking third place on the podium was the Dutch rider Lotte Teuns, aboard Jolidiams Des Tocrias. The grey gelding, sired by Diamant de Semilly, finished the jump-off with a time of 39.04 seconds, securing a well-deserved bronze medal.
In front of a home crowd, Toon Maes from Belgium, riding du Rouet Z a striking grey stallion sired by Dollar du Rouet. They completed the course in 39.67 seconds. The fifth spot went to Patrick Mc Entee representing Azerbaijan. Riding Amboise du Mury Marais Z, a bay mare from the Zangersheide studbook, Mc Entee finished with a clear round and a time of 43.13 seconds.
