The five-star competition in Bordeaux has kicked off! 39 combinations gave their best in this next World Cup stop, of which Richard Howley was the best.
In Bordeaux, France, points will be given for the World Cup Ranking... Staying clear in this 1.40m high course did not seem to be an easy task as only thirteen combinations managed to get through it without faults. But Richard Howley (IRL) made light work of the jumps in the saddle of Mansini Ltd (v. Caressini L). With one second difference, the Irishman set the winning time soaring over the jumps. Julien Gonin (FRA) just missed out on winning in front of his home crowd by just one second, coming in second with Estrella de La Batia (v. Diamant de Semilly). In third place came Pius Schwizer (SUI) with Christina (v. Cassirado).
The French also took fourth and fifth place. Cedric Hurel and Castor d'Hem (v. Ready Boy des Forets) finished on four, Marc Dilasser followed on five with E2K Abricot Ennemmelle (v. Quaprice Bois Margot).
