Sergio Alvarez Moya's Malibu de Muze passed away

Malibu de Muze (Nabab de Reve), the gray gelding with whom Sergio Alvarez Moya recently started at the World Equestrian Games in Herning, is no more. Yesterday evening, Alvarez Moya himself announced on social media that the 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood had died that afternoon from the effects of colic.

Already at the start of the World Championship in Herning the gelding did not feel completely well, although his appetite remained unchanged. Unfortunately, the tide turned quickly after the start of the competition. The gelding was rushed to the clinic where he was operated on for a colic that had apparently been dormant for several days. Malibu the Muse didn't make a full recovery after the surgery, and remained unwell until he finally lost his long battle yesterday...
