Starlette de la Roque to retire from the sport

French rider Edward Levy has announced the retirement of one of his top horses: Starlette de la Roque.

In a video, Levy looks back on his partnership with the mare.

"After 10 incredible years, my team and I have decided that Starlette would start her second life from today on', he says. "She deserves to say top sport goodbye in great physical and mental shape."

The fifteen-year-old mare is a daughter of Jumpy Des Fontaines and Pop Star de la Roque (Kannan). The pair was successful at 1.50m level.
