Victor Bettendorf writes main number Vilamoura to his name

In Vilamoura, Portugal, the day was all about the young horses. The main number was the class for 7-year-old horses and Victor Bettendorf rode it to victory. He was the fastest in a jump-off with no less than 15 combinations. Riding Eagle Eye de la Roque (by Vigo d'Arsouilles) he jumped a clear round in 35.42 seconds.

In doing so, he was faster than Trevor Breen who rode Jicarla T (by Caretino Gold) to second place. The duo left the wood untouched and finished in 35.88 seconds. David Will completed the top three. He rode Addresse (by Messenger) clear in 38.09 seconds.

Jude Burgess (Oilina) and Bronislav Chudyba (Jamilla WV) completed the top five in fourth and fifth places.
