Kevin Staut triumphs in Vidauban

Kevin StautYesterday the competition in the French Vidauban kicked-off with the six and seven-year-old horses. Italian course designer Uliano Vezzani made sure it would be a challenging ride to separate the wheat from the chaff. After a clear Jump-Off in 32:89 seconds Kevin Staut triumphed on the back of his seven-year-old Aya de Septon ET (s. Wandor van de Mispelaere). Dutch rider Bart Bles and Bontender ended in the second place after crossing the finishline in 33:02 seconds. Two more French followed. Frédéric Bouvard (Benhard) and Frank Goubard (Sonic du Ripel) made it to the third and fourth place in this class with 48 starters. On the back of his six-year-old Huppicor DB (s. Lupicor) it was Andrea Herholdt who triumphed as first combination of the day. A clear round in 35:70 seconds gave the Italian show jumper a lead of over 4 seconds on Bart Bles and his six-year-old Casanova. Carlos Lopze and Balthazar de Baudignies ended in the third place ending the course in 41:39 seconds. Only six combinations of the 39 starters made a double clear round. Also Jennifer Meylan (Taome de la Roque), Zuzana Zelinkova (Cartagena W) and Alexandre Cecile (Hazard vd Donkhoeve, s.
