Christine Wiggins and Evalien closed out another exciting week of show-jumping action at Caledon Equestrian Park (CEP) last week with a big win in the $25,000 Grand Prix - presented by RAM Equestrian on Sunday (June 30)
The pair capped off the Summer Classic beating out a starting field of 22 other competitors. The course, designed by Canadian Chris Brandt, saw five go clear in the first round.
Wiggins and Evalien's were third to go in a tight jump-off, posting a winning time of 35.59 seconds to beat out runners-up Neil Badcock and Gotye's time of 36.37. Caroline Di Vittorio and Auburn des Rosiers were a close third posting a time of 36.41 seconds for their second clear run of the day.
Friday's (June 28) action saw Laval, Quebec's Anthony Sauriol and PBM Cascada take home top prize in the $10,000 Open Welcome presented by Horseflight. The pair bested a starting field of 26 horses and riders with Carlie Fairty and Ecuador W placing second. Jennifer Smith and Laissez Faire 3E rounded out the top three.

The Summer Classic also featured some great competition in the hunter rings, starting with the $2,500 Pony Hunter Classic - presented by Caledon Equestrian Park on Saturday. It was Victoria Watson and Foxfire Lacey taking home the red ribbon in that class, followed by Tatum Horan piloting Dayz of May and Kailey Kaiser riding Kiss Me Kate in second and third, respectively.

Exhibitors and visitors alike showed their national pride all Canada Day weekend, with Hollybrook Farm winning the Tack Room awards, presented by Ride Every Stride Inc., for their impressive Canada Day-themed set up. The third installment of the Tack Room Awards will be on Aug. 10 during the Summer Festival running Aug. 7 to 11.
