Koen Vereecke en Jos CeulemansThe sun is only partially present at Patrik Spits' stables when the CSI 3*-event kicked of today. The first 3*-competition, a 1m45-course, was won by the former Belgian Champion Koen Vereecke and the 13-year-old gelding Allegro C vd Donkhoeve (s. Mr. Blue). After a clear round in 40:40 seconds he left Wilm Vermeur and D'Elia vh Molenhof (s. Up Chiqui) on the second place. Followed by Kristof Cleeren and Air Chin Z (s. Air Jordan Z). The competition offered a nice course. Only when Belgian Champion, Gérome Guery fell of his horse at the triple-combination the competition was paused for a brief moment. Both rider and horse escaped the incident with a bit of fear but further no injuries (as known at this moment). The top five of the competition was completed by Loewie Joppen (Vegas) and Thomas Leemans (Anushka De Beclo). © equnews.com - photo: equpics.com
