At the CSI3* of Hardelot the fences measured 1m60 in height at the Grand Prix. Only six riders were classified for the jump off where the British Laura Renwick and Oz De Breve (s. Dolar du Murier) put down the fastest time. Runner-up was Trevor Breen with Adventure de Kannan (s. Kannan) followed by Shane Breen and Ballon (s. Balou du Rouet). The top five was completed by Paul Estermann (Castlefield Eclipse) in the fourth position and Xavier Francois Boudant (Amadeus Z) ending in a fifth place.
Earlier that day the victory also colored Irish. In the 1m30 competition of the CSI1* it was Joan Greene (Abbey Coleen) who triumphed. The pair was followed by Frank Schillewaert (Petrus du Plessis) and Julio Aria Cuevo (Reggae du Tillard) on a second and third place. Also Kevin Staut kept the wood untouched with Kraque Boom, his former European Champion's horse.
