In Hohenkirchen, Germany, the climax on Sunday afternoon was the CSI4* 1.60m Grand Prix. 46 combinations competed in this event, including many local stars. Philip Rüping managed to jump to victory in front of his home crowd.
Aboard of Baloutaire PS (Balou du Rouet), the German rider had one of the five double clears and steered the 13 years old stallion in 37,55s over the finish. Swedish Emma Emanuelsson added a feminine touch to the top three, finishing second in the saddle of Canbella Blue PS (Chacco-Blue) with a time of 39,22s. Stopping the clock at 39,51s, Christian Ahlmann (GER) and Clintrexo Z (Clintissimo) came in third.
Armin Jun. Schäfer (GER) secured his fourth place with Costa Gavras (Contadoro) having 40,48s on the clock. The top five was concluded by Tobias Meyer (GER) and Caillou 57 (Christian).
