Richard Vogel and Cydello win the CSIO3* 1.60m Grand Prix of MVV in Mannheim

An internationally packed week in Mannheim, Germany, concluded with the CSIO3* 1.60m Grand Prix. Just short of fifty riders and horses gave their best one last time, with ten of them securing a spot in the jump-off. This class could be an important one for many of them as it counted not only for the Longines Ranking but also for the Olympic Games 2024 and the European Championships of 2025.

Richard Vogel secured a home victory riding Cydello, flawlessly guiding the 10-year-old son of Cascadello to the finish line in 41.74 seconds. Christian Kukuk closely followed with his 11-year-old Emerald van't Ruytershof daughter, Nice van't Zorgvliet, but settled for silver with a time of 42.49 seconds. Wilma Hellström prevented a complete German podium by guiding Cicci BJN (Ci Ci Senjor Ask) to third place in 45.06 seconds.

Another clear round was noted for Ulrich Hensel (GER) and Europa H (Escudo 19) who finished fourth with a time of 52,50s. For Hans-Dieter Dreher (GER) and the 12 years old Cous Cous (Cachas) there was fifth place, finishing the jump-off in 43,66s.
