And epic is how this one will go down in the books. The riders went faster and faster and in the end it was between the last three riders who would take the victory. Would it be Ireland, or Germany, would it be Bertram Allen, Simone Blum or Darragh Kenny?

It was Simone Blum who aboard DSP Alice (by Askari) finished in a very fast time of 42.65 seconds. It was then Allen who took his turn with the grey Harley vd Bisschop (by Dulf vd Bisschop) finishing in 42.96 seconds. All eyes then went to Darragh Kenny and the stallion Balou du Reventon (by Cornet Obolensky). The combination flew over the jumps and with a astonishing time of 42.17 seconds they finished with a victory lap. So it would be Kenny in first, Blum in second and Allen in third place.

USA rider Margie Goldstein-Engle and Royce then claimed fourth place, while Belgium's own Nicola Philippaerts ensured a fifth place aboard H&M Chilli Willi.
