Belgium and Evelyne Putters take the lead at Junior European Championships

Today the first 1.40m was build in Vilamoura, serving as a first qualifier for the European Junior Championships. It was Belgium's Evelyne Putters taking the lead, bringing team Belgium the pole position in the team ranking.

Belgium is in the lead with over 1.5 points difference with Ireland. The British junior riders currently place third.

Individually Belgium's Evelyne Putters set a record time in the 1.40m track somewhere in the beginning of the class. Aboard Uith de Rotes (Calvaro F.C. x Jalisco B) she eventually did hold on this leading position referring Denmark's Josephine Christian Jacobsen to the runner-up position. Together with Ludo Philippaerts' bred, Dakar (Utrillo Z x Darco), Jacobsen placed second while France's Alice Laine and Emerald Sitte (Nabab de Reve) placed third.

Outside the top three Tom Wachman guided his H H Fireball (Number One d'Iso) to the fourth place. Ava Vernon completed the top five with the Cassini II-daughter, Jolie Fleur van de Noordheuvel.
