Bryan Balsiger crowns himself Swiss champion

  • by Equnews Editorial
  • 06-09-2020

Not only in Belgium the championship for Seniors was jumped this weekend; the Swiss riders also jumped their national championship this weekend. Bryan Balsiger jumped to the title in the saddle of ASK Courage (by Chepetto C). He stayed ahead of Niklaus Schurtenberger and Martin Fuchs.

Before the start of the last day, it was between Bryan Balsiger, Martin Fuchs and Alain Jufer for the medals. In the first round of the final, however, Martin Fuchs got one penalty for jumping in Stalando's saddle, causing Niklaus Schurtenberger with Quincassi (by Quintero) to jump up in the ranking.

In the second round, Fuchs was able to keep the zero on the scoreboard, which allowed him to increase the pressure on Schurternberger. However, both Schurtenberger and Balsinger did not fold under the pressure. So first place for Balsiger, who, despite his young age, has already won the Swiss championship twice.
