Dubbeldam's Olympic hope Carlyle sold to Ireland

Yesterday several media reported that Oak Grove's Carlyle (by Casall), one of the top horses of former world champion Jeroen Dubbeldam, had appeared under a new rider in Sopot. With Irish rider Daniel Coyle in the saddle, he jumped to sixth place in the main event. It was not clear whether Carlyle was temporarily jumping under the Irish flag or that he was really sold but that has now changed. A press release from the KNHS shows that he is indeed sold. The gelding will certainly not go to the Olympics for the Netherlands.
