The public was sent to sleep after the main class had been ridden. The CSI4* had jumps at 1.45m high ready for 32 horse-and-rider combinations. They needed one winning round to seal the deal and that's what Olivier Perreau deliverd.
Perreau had the fastest second round and managed to stay clear with Bresil de Carnaval (v. Mylord Carthago*HN) out of ten combinations who rode a second round. Niklaus Schurtenberger finished second with C-Steffra (v. Clarimo). The Dutch Niels Kersten was also keen on winning but had to settle for third place with Grieg S (v. Indoctro).
Fourth place went to Antonio Matos Almeida in the saddle of Chippo Z (v. Chippendale Z) followed by Alisa Danilova on the back of Cossinelle.
