Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour takes over the reins of Olympic Badinda Altena

In recent years, Badinda Altena has had many a rider in her saddle. Her newest rider is none other than Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour. Unfortunately, the Olympic daughter of Tolando will not stay long with the Danish rider, as there are other plans for the 17-year-old chestnut.

"UNBELIEVABLE. I love, love, love riding this outstanding mare," we read on Laudrup-Dufour's social media. "She'll soon be looking for a new rider to take her back into top sport again!"

Badinda competed under Pierre Volla at the Rio Olympics but also started in the European Championships in Aachen as well as in Gothenburg with the French rider. Charlotte Heering took over the reins after mediation by Helgstrand Dressage but it remained fairly quiet around the duo.

About a year ago the mare returned to Helgstrand where Jeanna Hogberg, their stableamazone, took the mare into training. In the fall, the mare started some national competitions together with Trine Holm Søgaard. Laudrup-Helstrand must now guide the mare back to top level in order to then pair her with the ideal match.
