The Best of The Collection: Baloubelle en Icare Chavannais

This Friday, the 22nd of May, 'The Collection', a new online auction of Carlos Pinto and Steve Tinti, will start. That's why we would like to present two horses from the collection today: Icare Chavannais and Baloubelle!

Icare Chavannais

The 6-year-old Icare Chavannais is a highly talented showjumper and has proven himself already at international level. The son of Grand Prix stallion Cicero Z van Paemel jumped successfully in the CSI Young Horse classes of Kronenberg and Vejer de la Frontera and delivered clear round after clear round in the early 2020 season. Icare Chavannais combines reflexes and technique with athleticism, light-footedness and a fantastic mentality. In addition, Icare Chavannais could become a highly competitive showjumper in the near future as well, with his rideability, energy and natural instincts.

The 6-year-old Icare Chavannais is sired by the great Cicero Z van Paemel – a son of the famous Carthago. In breeding, Cicero Z van Paemel produced many talented sport horses, such as Fenia van Klapscheut, Julyssi van Orti, Jewel de Kwakennbeek, Izzy by Picobello, Gautcho da Quinta and Cicero II. Icare Chavannais’ dam Pabina competed herself up to 1.30m level and was bred out of the successful broodmare Kenia. This daughter of Emilion produced no less than six international and national showjumpers and stood at the basis of several Grand Prix showjumpers as well. Tiffany Foster’s Grand Prix mount Cadalora P was also bred out of the same family as Icare Chavannais.

Icare Chavannais started off his international record with many clear rounds and seems to have all the ingredients to continue this excellent streak throughout his career. The team behind The Collection has high hopes for Icare Chavannais and considers him a serious prospect for the international sport.

Baloubelle

Baloubelle; she definitely deserves your special attention. This striking chestnut mare combines scope with light-footedness, reflexes and carefulness. Baloubelle jumps effortless, knows her job and her ability seems to be endless. The 7-year-old mare already competed at international level and delivered many great rounds in her age classes up to 1.35m-level.
