Wearing a helmet is not an otiose luxury. Watching the different neknominations and promotional stunts in the equestrian time we asked ourselves, why nobody was wearing that vital piece of equipment. That is why we planned in a riding-helmet test. Asking the different brands to help us out only Antares and Samshield were willing to cooperate. But what about Charles Owen, Kep Italia, Lamicell, GPA, Uvex, Lamborghini? Where they to afraid?
Well let us just discuss the helmets we could test. Both brands have put safety on the agenda. While we think Samshield is a bit more fashion, Antares did put a huge effort in technological progress.
Samshield is, as just mentioned, one of the most fashionable riding helmets. The cap is completely adaptable to ones desire. You can choose the material, decoration and colors. Combine this with a perfect ventilation and we might 'stamp' Samshield to a luxury-desire helmet.
Antares went an other path with the design of their riding helmet. Combining carbon-fiber with leather, the Antares helmet looks like a nice helmet, that unfortunatly won't fit everyone's desire. Nevertheless this helmet is probably the lightest helmet on the market. The design and use of materials made sure this helmet is a literal light weight. This without a concession to the safety power it has.

1.: A riding helmet is available in all shapes, colors and materials. It is a part of Your fashionable outfit. Even more it is a good excuse to go shopping, safety above all, no?
2.: Protect Your brains, you only have one pair! Unfortunatly our skull is the most vulnerable body part.
3.: Nobody wants to fall from his/her horse, although it happens to all of us. Just make sure You are prepared, wearing a helmet with a CE-mark. As such You can enjoy the ride.
4.: You could, by wearing a helmet, just safe Your own life...
