Press Release : JRPR This summer, HORSE GYM USA® is appearing at horse shows across the country to offer equestrians a unique experience with the company’s advanced, highly effective equine treadmills. Having recently expanded its product line to include new innovations and greater diversity, HORSE GYM USA® already received a warm welcome this month at events in Iowa and Wyoming, where hundreds of riders lined up to try the all-new HORSE GYM USA® | WALK and HORSE GYM USA® | RELAX models with their show horses. Now this innovative technology will be on display at the Lamplight Equifest 2015 I (July 22-26) and II (July 28-August 2) in Wayne, Illinois.
Designed to help horses meet the intense demands of high-level equestrian sports, the HORSE GYM USA®products were introduced to the U.S. market in 2004 by internationally successful dressage and show jumping athletes Henrik and Mikala Gundersen. Since then, the innovative treadmills and therapeutic equipment have given a winning advantage to world-class trainers and riders across the equestrian disciplines. Many of the most highly respected show jumpers in the equestrian community use daily HORSE GYM USA® conditioning sessions for developing their horses to their full potential.
The portability of the treadmills allows them to be transported between seasonal locations, making them ideal for professional competitors. Venezuela show jumper Andres Rodriguez has used HORSE GYM USA® products since 2002, which travel between his facilities in Wellington during the Winter Equestrian Festival, and then up to Connecticut for the rest of the season. Rodriguez states, “It is really a key part of our preparation and training. ”The use of a HORSE GYM USA® treadmill is especially helpful in developing the topline and muscle definition of competition horses, in addition to improving their general health and stamina.
The machines can be used in place of turnout during poor weather or when space is limited. The smooth, consistent surface of the HORSE GYM USA® | WALK’s shock-absorbing belt eliminates injuries from uneven footing. The controlled environment also makes it especially useful for therapeutic and rehabilitation treatment.
When international jumper Candace King’s winning stallion Toronto needed rehabilitation, she used the HORSE GYM USA® | WALK to help him recover his soundness and stamina. “Putting Toronto on the Gym every day has helped tremendously with building muscle and getting the wind back into him,” said King.
In 2014, after a decade of success, HORSE GYM USA® expanded its line to include new models and new improvements on original models. In addition to an upgraded version of the original HORSE GYM USA® | WALK and TROT models, the company now offers the HORSE GYM USA® | WATER, which helps give a full healthy workout to horses that are injured and not fully weight bearing; the saltwater hydrotherapy HORSE GYM USA® | SPA, which can help heal leg injuries; and the zero impact conditioning tool HORSE GYM USA® | RELAX, a unique machine with a vibrating surface and solarium equipped, infrared lamps. This model is used to loosen muscles and increase both blood circulation and healing rates.
Attendees of the Lamplight Equifest I and II have the chance to see the WALK, WATER, RELAX, and SPA by visiting the HORSE GYM USA® booth in the vendor area, July 22-26 and July 28-August 2.
