Since 31 May 2021, the EHV-1 regulation has been in force, which protects FEI horses worldwide against the transmission of infectious diseases before, during and after FEI competitions.
Athletes and grooms have since carried out compulsory temperature monitoring for 10 days prior to their arrival at FEI competitions and are required to provide a signed FEI Equine Health form for participating horses. This applies to FEI competitions held in mainland Europe.
From 1 August it will be compulsory to enter all this information in the FEI HorseApp. This only applies to participants in competitions in Continental Europe. This means that athletes and grooms must use the app for FEI competitions starting from 9 August.
All international starting riders have been informed personally about this earlier. With the updated FEI HorseApp, athletes, grooms and owners can easily submit the required information via the app. Paper copies will no longer be accepted.
