Today, the CSIO5* two-phase competition over 1.50m took place in Hickstead. The competition, characterised by both speed and precision, produced some exciting moments and saw Jordan Coyle and his horse For Gold emerge as the glorious winners.
Jordan Coyle from Ireland managed to secure the victory with his talented gelding For Gold (For Fashion). This combination demonstrated exceptional performance by completing both phases faultlessly with impressive times of 44.99 seconds in the first phase and a lightning-fast 26.64 seconds in the second phase.
In second place was the British rider Robert Whitaker with Vermento (Argento). He also performed faultlessly in both phases with times of 45.86 and 28.00 seconds. Cian O'Connor, also from Ireland, secured third place with Belvedere (Billy Congo) thanks to two faultless rounds in 45.68 and 28.11 seconds.
The fourth place was taken by Sean Monaghan from Ireland with Tiberio Della Caccia (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve). This combination also recorded a double clear round in 45.16 and 28.13 seconds. The top five was completed by Abdullah Mohd Al Marri from the United Arab Emirates with James V.D Oude Heihoef (Douglas). They finished the courses without any penalties in 45.19 and 28.64 seconds.
