IMG_1670-Medium-1024x638Blue Hors has been synonymous with Danish dressage sport for many years, partly through the stud’s purchase of outstanding stallions of international performance blood, and partly because of the competition stables big success in 2006 with two individual World Equestrian Games medals and in 2008 an Olympic bronze medal with the Danish national team. Blue Hors is one of Europe's leading EU stallion stations, which annually serves between 1200 and 1500 mares at home and abroad. Esben Moeller is looking forward to the European Championships in Herning, which he believes will be of great importance for Danish dressage sport, because the attention of the entire world will be directed against Denmark in the week of competitions. European-Herning Director Jens Trabjerg is understandably excited about the support the championships have received from Blue Hors. "We have been working together with Blue Hors for a number of years as they have supported our event activity at the JBK Horse Shows. Blue Hors is a good and loyal supporter of our sport. It is because of the support of our sponsors we will be able to create a completely unique concept for the European Championships respectively in dressage, jumping and para-dressage. The championships will prove to be of invaluable importance for growth in both breeding and sport in Denmark. When Blue Hors and others with them, steps up and make such an investment in equestrian sport, they are instrumental in creating the basis for the championships. And meanwhile giving us all an opportunity to experience international top sport at home in our own "backyard"," says Jens Trabjerg. "We know the MCH Exhibition Centre Herning's capacity to help lift an event. They have proven themselves numerous times when Danish Warmblood holds their Stallion Show in the exhibition halls. They have shown that they can handle major events, even when there are horses involved. In cooperation with the organisers, we must plan for what our possibilities and tasks are in relation to the European Championships. We will definitely show some of our stallions to the public. And of course it would be great fun for all of us at Blue Hors if our rider Maria Andersen succeeded in qualifying for the national dressage team. So far, however, it is wishful thinking, but you never know," says Esben Moeller. © European Championships/ equnews.com
