Isabell Werth takes solid win in Grand Prix Special Maastricht

The dressage riders were first to enter the arena of Jumping Indoor Maastricht on Saturday morning. The dressage programme started with the Grand Prix Special, which was won by Germany ’s dressage superstar Isabell Werth and her beautiful Hannoverian gelding Don Johnson FRH. The pair performed a nice and consistant test and Isabell was very satisfied with the result: 75.314%. Her compatriot Britta Rasche-Merkt finished in second place with the 13-year-old stallion Xerez with 68.804%, followed by David Engelen for Belgium, who scored 64.392% with Royal Rubinstein (2005, HANN).
