From August 1 until 4 Hickstead will be hosting an FEI endorsed CDIO 3* competition. The 2013 CDIO Hicskstead will host an international FEI Pny, Junior and Young Riders classes combined with the Prix St Georges, Intermediaire classes and the Nations Cup. For this competition the FEI have devised a new format. The Nations Cup event will take place furing the Freestyle Competition instead of the Grand Prix. Dan Rawlings, the competition director, said that this new format should enhance the competition as well as opening up the Grand Prix to other riders.
