Daniel Meech, a rider competing for New Zealand at the Games, was disqualified after blood was found on the flank of his horse Cinca 3 (by Casall).
He was eliminated based on article 241.30: "Elimination under this article means that there was no intention to injure the horse but there are rules to protect the welfare of the participating horses".
